The Recce 2016

15 parents joined some of us staff for a day in the country, covering 52km running, mountain biking and canoeing trails and river to Jeffrey’s Bay. This was a recce for the upcoming 2 day adventure race for qualifying grade 6 and 7 boys and girls. Meeting at school, all kitted up and ready to go at 4.30am the group of 27, with support vehicles headed off into the rising sun to experience stunning scenery and testing their bodies with some realization that there’s something left in the ‘old goat’ still! Zip lining to the finish, socializing at the Spur and waking up the following day as still as a board, everyone agreed it is a must on the school calendar for any adventure loving parent!
