Every year, Grade 7 (12/13yr olds) take part in the GREAT TRI, a 4 day expedition from their classroom door and back. It is not a race and children spend two months preparing for it, using afternoon sport time to become proficient in Guppies, K1's and K2's and on their mountain bikes.Some children arrive from elsewhere in Grd 7 having never ridden a bike or paddled a canoe, yet in six weeks they are proficient enough to enjoy and complete the 50km journey.
